Artist, Designer, and Creative Leader

A maker at heart, Jedd is an artist and designer who crafts projects that invite thought and spark joy.

A Career in Design and Visual Communication

Working as an Art Director and Designer, I’ve spent my career working with mission-driven organizations to bring their visions to life through branding, marketing, and websites.

I spent over 10 years leading a creative team for UNICEF’s Digital Platforms, and have worked with several organizations to translate their ideas into functional communication products.

If you have a project in mind and are interested in collaborating, please get in touch!

A Life of Making Graphic Art

My whole life, I’ve been making stuff. My early work was mostly on paper, posters, and so, so many personal greeting cards. The work was illustrative and typographic.

Lately, I’ve been into fibers and textiles. I’m currently working on new hand-made tufted and embroidered items like rugs and pillows. Keep an eye out!

I am in the early stages of taking commissions for tufted rugs. If you have an idea, get in tough!

And Products: Where Design Meets Art

My shop is where my design skills meet my art skills.

Graphic Tees and Hoodies are a direct line from my early typographic and illustration work.

And sweaters. I’ve always loved sweaters. The more I was working with yarn by hand, the more I wanted to create my own patterns. With the benefit of newer on-demand knitting partners, I’m creating my own patterns and designs, available for everyone!

Art

For me, my artwork is an expression of myself. Less practical in an capitalistic sense; but entirely practical in a everybody-deserves-some-joy sense.

My artwork is generally created by hand, and are unique pieces, though I do create a lot on themes and there are several iterations of many pieces.

Design

For me, design is a practical spinoff of art. My design projects are generally collaborative, each with a specific intent.

Through design, I create projects that aim to achieve a goal. Websites aim to engage audiences with an organization's mission. Publications aim to educate. Brands aim to communicate a specific personality to find the right audience.

My design projects tend to be ongoing works, either printed pieces or websites.

Shop

The shop is where I blend the two pillars of my work. Creating patterns and color, but translating them into goods that can be machine made and more widely available.
